Diana has more than eight years of office management and administrative experience. Most recently, she worked as a 9-1-1 communications officer. Diana came to Brumlow & Co because she was seeking a career with a company that offered an opportunity for growth while providing a good work-life balance. A native and current resident of Henry County, she attended Clayton State University. Outside of work, Diana spends the majority of her time with her husband and 11-year-old son. She is an animal lover and has an assortment of pets (four rabbits, two skinny pigs, a dog, and a fish). She is an avid University of Tennessee fan.
Sophia Curtis is a relentless leader and entrepreneur who enjoys preparing and educating others about taxes. She transitioned to Atlanta in September 2020, where the opportunity to work with Cross Accounting as a staff accountant was a natural fit for her interests; it ties in well with her helpful and meticulous nature.
Sophia was born in the beautiful island of Jamaica and moved to the United States in 2005. She resided in New York City where she held a variety of financial positions including bookkeeper, staff accountant, office manager, and purchasing coordinator. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from York College, City University of New York, and a Master of Business Administration with an accounting concentration from DeVry College, Keller Graduate School of Management. She is also licensed by the IRS as an enrolled agent, where she is fully qualified to represent taxpayers before the IRS.
When she isn’t working, she volunteers with immigrants, educating them on the immigration processes and helping them navigate the system. She also spends some of her spare time keeping up with the various tax changes. “I like to know the latest and I’m always seeking to deepen my knowledge in my profession,” she says. Sophia’s drive for success has been a fulfilling and rewarding journey that she continues to discover.
Starting her career as a Staff Accountant, Melody quickly proved herself as a capable and detail-oriented worker, earning promotions to Senior Accountant and ultimately achieving Enrolled Agent status. Melody is now an assistant branch manager. She holds a BBA in accounting from Kennesaw State University, which she earned in December 2016. Currently, Melody is a graduate student at Auburn University, eagerly awaiting the opportunity to sit for the CPA exam. Melody was drawn to BJM Group by the company’s impressive growth and exciting potential for career advancement. In her free time, Melody enjoys hunting for food, traveling to new places, and spending time at her lake house in the summer. She is the proud owner of a dog named Lucky, as well as two cats named Zoey and Pumba. Melody also has aspirations of raising goats and guinea fowl in the future.
With over 20 years in public accounting and almost five in business management with a fast-growing software company, Bill Lincoln is applying his expertise to build teams of professional staff and enhance firm resources to better serve clients. As regional director, Bill’s role includes overseeing the local branches, implementing firmwide processes and procedures, and developing professional staff into business and client leaders.
With an intense yet easy-going manner, Bill is perfectly positioned to focus on the BJM network’s top-line growth while also working directly with branch managers to create client-focused, stellar teams of accounting professionals. As the BJM network grows, Bill will work with newly acquired entities to enhance not only their branch performance and client offerings, but also those of the region as a whole.
Bill spent most of his public accounting career with mid-sized firms. He has prepared and reviewed individual and corporate tax returns, supervised local and international teams of staff, developed workflow processes and implemented new technologies across firms and with clients, and served integral roles on merger teams. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting from West Virginia University and is a native of Pittsburgh. Bill has been in the Atlanta area for almost ten years.
When he is not working, Bill enjoys spending time with his family, particularly watching his three teenagers play soccer and tennis. He is also a home-improvement enthusiast and is always working on a house project.
Mina began her career in international banking, where her experience with buying/selling of stocks/shares and foreign exchange transactions helped prepare her for a transition to accounting work. Those finance skills, as well as experience with taxes, have served Mina well in her current role in accounting and bookkeeping with Cross Accounting. Mina likes the diverse nature of her job at Cross Accounting and the client interaction.
A native of the United Kingdom, Mina completed her college education in Leicester. She moved to the US several years ago.
Mina and her family are still avid soccer fans, with half the family supporting Manchester United and the other half Manchester City. They split their Georgia college football rivalries as well with one son attending Georgia Tech and the other the University of Georgia. Mina loves to travel. When home, she enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, and art projects.
Hugh is a Georgia native with expertise in tax resolution and representation, taxation and small business operations. Adept at working with IRS and State Taxing Authorities, he knows how to advise clients in their unique tax situations. He has been with the firm over 16 years working with individuals and small businesses. One thing that makes Hugh unique is his extensive experience, not only in accounting but in sales management and operational consulting. Prior to working with the firm, he was Vice President of sales for CR Gibson. Hugh holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and Business Management from Georgia State University.
Chris heads up administration, practice development, and consulting engagements. With over 30 years’ experience in sales leadership, training, coaching, marketing, business development and senior level sales Chris has had roles that span Fortune 50 and entrepreneurial companies. His experience is in driving go-to-market strategy, business, channel and partner development, sales management and leadership, both domestically and internationally. He has lead sales and marketing teams, developed product launches and go-to market strategies for early-stage companies.
Chris’ strengths are implementing strategy through process improvement, coaching and leadership. As a consultant, Chris is a process-driven strategic thinker who excels at sorting through clutter to see the big picture and then simplify complexity. He applies his innovative thinking to find new possibilities and opportunities.
Chris holds an MBA from the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte and a BA in Economics and Business Administration from Rhodes College in Memphis TN, where he was a 4-year starter on the football team. Chris knows the value of preparation and teamwork.
As a consultant, Chris is a part of the salesQB network, specializing in fractional management and management consulting. Additionally, Chris holds insurance licenses in GA, FL and NC and appointed with Mutual Trust. He specializes in providing companies and individuals specialized solutions for debt management using infinite banking concepts using the Your Family Bank Concept where he is an certified provider.
Minna has been with the firm for over 20 years and specializes in payroll and sales tax compliance as well as tax return preparation and bookkeeping.
Veronica is an Atlanta Native and Georgia State Graduate. Veronica is involved in business development and as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, she has a passion for organization and helping small businesses get started and stay on the right path. Her accounting experience includes non profits and start ups and she has been providing Business Coaching and Accounting services since 2005. Her experience spans multiple industries including Aviation, Non-Profits (Churches and Government), Automotive, Pet Services, Landscaping, Franchise Restaurants and Janitorial services. Veronica also very involved in her community as a mentor for teen and young adult women.
Tommy has been with the firm for over twenty years. He possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Business Administration. He has extensive experience in bookkeeping, tax preparation and financial reporting. With an early background as a controller in the private sector, he gained knowledge and experience granting him the ability to form a comfortable working relationship with our clients. He works with many industries including retail, construction, non-profits, hospitality services and daycare, to name a few. Tommy has a passion for quality work and is a key member of the organization.
Lolita has been with the firm for over 20 years. She possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She has over 30 years experience of providing a wide variety of accounting services. Her professional experience covers Auditing, Review, Bookkeeping, Compilation and Preparation of Tax Returns. She has worked with various clients in industries that include Non-Profit, Hospitality, Day Care/Pre-School, Professional Services, Contractors and Retail Pharmaceutical Companies. Lolita is also a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor for Desktop and Online applications for over 12 years. As a QuickBooks Consultant, she assists in the initial set-up of the software and in trouble-shooting day-to-day operational issues. She also conducts thorough training for clients when needed. Lolita is a proud member of a company that adheres to competent business practices. She believes that her profession should not only be about providing Accounting services but also a means of imparting valuable knowledge to her clients.
William also known as Bill, was the founder of the firm and senior member of the organization. Bill has been practicing for over 60 years from 1960 to 2020 He founded the firm and had decades of experience in tax matters and small business operations with a specialty in tax resolution. Bill had been an entrepreneur all his life and knew what it is like for the small business owner from the other side of the desk. Bill had owned and operated businesses in the automotive, transportation, restaurant, entertainment, and service industries. Entering the accounting profession out of college he was the youngest audit manager in his firm. Retired from day to day operations in 2018, Bill provided consultative services to the firm on an as needed basis until his passing in 2020.
